Is Angel Investing Right for You?
Angel groups in our area (CAN and CAV Angels, family offices and private individuals) have supported some of Virginia’s, and the world’s most exciting startups. Our local angel networks, CAV and CAN, convene accredited investors, are volunteer based, and welcome newcomers. To attend a meeting or meet with a member, please reach out via their websites (above.)
Are you a Community Investor?
Non-accredited investors (sometimes referred to as HENRYs – High Earners, Not Rich Yet) can invest in companies, but must follow rules to avoid Securities and Exchange Commission violations. Crowd-funding is an option, as are investments in companies in which you have a pre-existing relationship with the owners.
